Quick Step-by-Step Unlock Guide
Farming MGP
The Manderville Gold Saucer is a unique amusement park found in Southern Thanalan. It’s a callback to Final Fantasy VII’s Golden Saucer, and is unlocked through the side quest “It Could Happen to You.”
This quest is offered by the Well-heeled Youth in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald. The steps leading to the Well of Eternity are located in this city.
The Gold Saucer is a place where you can find many mini-games that will reward you with Manderville Gold Saucer Points or “MGP”. MGP serves as a currency within the park to buy various rewards like hairstyles, mounts, and glamour items.
There are many ways to earn MGP both inside of the Gold Saucer and out – so let’s take a look at some of the more popular ways of earning some Gold Saucer currency. Some popular ways to earn MGP include: -Playing the game for rewards -Collecting coins and medals -Purchasing items from the store -Billing customers for services rendered
Method 1: Mini Cactpot
The Mini Cactpot is a new lottery scratch-off game that rewards players with Mini Cactpots based on the numbers they uncover. You can purchase 3 of these tickets daily, and the more tickets you buy, the greater your chance of winning. ..
Method 2: Jumbo Cactpot
The lottery game where you select 4 digits and win MGP if they match the numbers that are drawn. Jumbo Cactpot numbers are drawn weekly and the prize will depend on the number of players that purchase tickets.
You can buy three Jumbo Cactpot tickets per week. ..
Method 3: Triple Triad
In the mini-game, players take on the role of a party member in a battle against an enemy. The objective is to defeat the enemy and collect rewards. There are three types of enemies in this mini-game: bosses, minions, and allies. Bosses are more powerful than minions and allies, but can be killed with ease if not careful. The mini-game ends when one party member is killed or when all enemies have been defeated.
NPCs can be defeated to earn MGP, but you can also engage in player-versus-player combat to earn rewards. ..
The Triple Triad NPC in the Gold Saucer (X:4.0, Y:7.0) sells duplicate cards for an increased amount of MGP.
Method 4: Fashion Report
This week’s theme is “Dress to Impress.” Players are asked to dress in a way that will make them look their best.
Your MGP reward will depend on the rating Masked Rose gives your outfit.
Method 5: Wondrous Tails
The Wondrous Tails rewards system is a set of objectives you can complete by running certain instances. Doing these tasks will reward you with a sticker which will then determine what prizes you may obtain.
The possible rewards for completing weekly Wondrous Tails objectives are MGP vouchers which give the player a large sum of MGP. If the player is lucky enough, they can obtain up to 1 million MGP from completing these objectives.
Some of the more common ways of obtaining MGP are as follows:
- Buying it from a dealer
- Taking it from a criminal
- Receiving it as a gift
There are still many other options available in the Gold Saucer, such as Chocobo racing or Lord of Verminion. ..
