Military access is automatically granted to everyone who shares a faction with you. This includes members of your faction, as well as anyone who has been granted military access by another faction.

Military Access allows the United States to gain access to allies that we cannot reach by ourselves. This is especially useful in areas where our military is not strong or where we have no other options.

Getting & Giving Military Access

To view Military Access options, open another nation’s Diplomacy tab and select the Military Access option.

If you want to ask for military access, you’ll see the “Ask for military access” button and if you want to offer military access, you’ll see the “Offer military access” button.

If you hover over the options, you can see a prediction for what the country’s response to the proposal will be, along with their reasoning and data. ..

Best Uses for Military Access

Military Access can be useful when you need to reach an ally’s territory without a direct connection. For example, in the image above, Czechoslovakia’s troops have no way of reaching Yugoslavia for help. ..

Germany, Romania, and Hungary are all NATO members and should be able to provide military access to the United States. ..

Germany cannot go into Italy’s territory to help with the war because Germany is not at war with Italy. ..

Military Access can be used to defend allies, but it is not the best option for going on the offensive.
