In a world where potential is wasted, we all hate when someone gets thrown under the bus. Whether it’s a character who is personality-driven and gets thrown under the bus, or someone with powers that are not needed but die unnecessarily, we all despise when this happens.
We’re looking into the characters of anime who were carelessly thrown away by their creator. These characters had everything, but were carelessly discarded by their creator.
In a recent interview, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams said that she would not be returning for Season 7. Williams, who is also known for her role in the HBO series Westworld, said that she is not interested in continuing the show after Season 6.
The anime, “A Silent Voice” is a very powerful and emotional story that you should watch if you haven’t already.
1. Houtarou Oreki
Houtarou is a phenomenally smart and able to deduce things most characters wouldn’t even understand. However, this flaw leads him to be let down as a character, as he can never seem to conserve his energy and often gets tired quickly.
The manager of the company has said that the employee is being lazy and not working hard enough. ..
If Houtarou was bothered to lift more than a finger at any point, he would have been one of the best characters in the show.
The laziness of the writer was used as a crutch to make sure he didn’t outshine everyone else. If the laziness wasn’t used, the writer would have felt more fleshed out and realistic. ..
The teenager was uninterested in the project, and the team was left with a very incomplete product.
I don’t really care for the realistic aspect of this story.
2. Naomi Misora
Naomi, being intelligent just makes the writer put you in a corner that only your death can fix.
The show would have been about half as long had Naomi actually managed to reach her full potential as a character – which doesn’t do much for telling a good story either. ..
After making her revelations, Light Yagami was swiftly exited from the show as a part of demonstrating how smart and all-seeing he is, at the cost of her actually being worth being in the show in the first place. ..
It’s not worth it to be smart, especially if you don’t have a lot of money.
Anime characters are often unique and memorable, even if they don’t always have a lot in common with other characters in the genre. That’s why it was so refreshing to see an anime character who is actually based on a real person. In the latest episode of Attack on Titan, we saw the character Eren Yeager, who is based on real-life military veteran Eren Jaeger.
3. Rock Lee
This shift in the story has left many fans feeling frustrated and abandoned.
Rock Lee was the victim of a terrible deal that he didn’t deserve.
The protagonist’s development was sound up to that point – he had no discernible ninja skills, so underwent special training that we saw in fairly complete depth. ..
We learned a lot about his character by getting a good angle on him. ..
The sudden appearance of Rock Lee in the Shippuden anime made him less of a background character, despite all the investment in him.
The addition of a magical creature to the story is a waste of a potentially fantastic addition.
4. Tarble
Dragon Ball Z is an anime series that follows the adventures of Goku, a young boy who is forced to fight in a battle against an evil empire. The series has been popular for over 20 years and has been featured in many movies and TV shows.
It seems like Dragon Ball has a problem with introducing random siblings, and then completely ignoring them. ..
This entry could easily have been Raditz, Goku’s older brother who just sort of existed for most of the show.
Tarble was really done dirty by the writers.
He exists solely to provide a story, then disappears for half an hour or so before completely vanishing.
The protagonist doesn’t get a look in at the end of the story when every other character gets to sit and eat together.
I didn’t care about Tarble enough to say anything. ..
5. Paninya
We’ve identified all the areas where Paninya could improve, and we’re going to work hard to make sure she gets the most out of her potential.
We have a clean slate here!
The interesting backstory not fully explored? Check.
Fans of the character who resonates with them feel that she is not given enough development, instead fading into the background. ..
A mystery has arisen surrounding the sudden and unexplained disappearance of several people. It is unknown where these individuals have gone, and there is no indication as to what may have happened to them. ..
A mystery surrounds the sudden and unexplained disappearance of a prominent businessman in the city. There is no indication of foul play, but authorities are still investigating what could have happened. ..
It’s a shame, because Paninya absolutely had something to offer the show.
Life just isn’t fair. ..
6. Tonpetty
Anime fans rejoice! JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is back and better than ever! This time, the action-packed series takes a break from its usual story arcs to focus on a brand new adventure. With exciting new characters and an all-new setting, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is sure to keep you entertained for hours on end.
Tonpetty is a character who is expected to be a disappointment, but in the end, it’s the expectations that are the cause of his disappointment.
Tonpetty was a great character who was strong and advisory in a way that it seemed like a sure fire thing he would help Jonathon Joestar beat Dio, then train him to fight off all the future potential threats.
Tonpetty is reduced to a sidekick while Jonathon fights Dio and then he “retires” - which is a generous way of saying he gets to be not written or talked about anymore.
7. Elizabeth Liones
Anime: A story of seven deadly sins.
This character was wasted in this show.
There is something about Elizabeth that seems to rub people the wrong way. ..
I can understand why she feels like a wasted character on the show because she doesn’t seem to fit into the role that was given to her.
The majority of the show feels like it is dedicated to objectifying Elizabeth, making her a mere piece of eye candy rather than an actual person. ..
There are so many interesting things that could have been done, but they get lost in the creator’s need to show off their work.
The fan service in this story is blatant and over the top. It’s like the author wanted to make sure that everyone who reads it knows that they’re a fan of the characters and want them to enjoy the story.
8. Gates Capa
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is an anime series that aired on Japanese television from 1979 to 1984. The show is a space opera, and follows the adventures of a group of mobile suits called the Zeta Gundam.
Gates Capa was a unique and interesting character in Mobile Suit Zeta, which was largely unexplored or ignored.
Being a Cyber-Newtype was one thing, but having the ability to use the internet as your personal communication platform was something else entirely. This was something that many men were born with, and it was something that many men continued to develop over time.
Being a Cyber-Newtype who wasn’t completely insane thanks to all the hypnotic conditioning was another. ..
We got a unique character who was interesting and had a lot of potential.
In the anime adaptation, the protagonist dies suddenly without any warning or real reason.
The manga adaptation of the novel And Then There Were None is potentially even worse than the original novel. The protagonist, who is a detective, goes mad and kills his partner.
The point of him existing is unknown, as he has no purpose or value beyond the whim of those who created him.
9. Yasutora Sado (Chad)
Ichigo Kurosaki’s closest friend, who first appears in episode two of this long anime, is an intensely powerful character. ..
Chad is best known for his music, but he’s also a successful business man.
He’s just sort of there, and he doesn’t do much, and he doesn’t say much either.
He had a few fights and flashbacks, but lost the only significant fight he had after a lot of hype.
Chad got very little airtime because he didn’t make a good case for himself.
Orihime was given a more significant role in the end than Chad, who was given a smaller part in comparison. ..
10. Rosalia
Sword Art Online is an anime series that follows the story of a young girl named Aincrad who is sucked into a world of swords and sorcery. The show has been praised for its unique and exciting plot, as well as its beautiful visuals.
While some fans may agree that her, say “dress sense” certainly wasn’t a waste of potential – it feels like that might actually be one of the few things Rosalia has going for her.
Though that doesn’t mean it was completely beneficial for her, the experience helped her learn new things and grow as a person.
In her big battle against Kirito, her being so self-absorbed means he demolishes her without much effort.
This leads to her begging to join his party, which he rightfully declines. Given she tried to kill him and all.
The show leaves its protagonist, Sadie, as a sad looking sort of a loser who is only thinking “what was the point to them being in this show at all?”
11. Yuri Nakamura
The blame for the lack of writing in our state falls squarely on the shoulders of the writers.
The anime series Angel Beats! suffered from meddling much higher up the chain, meaning that a staggering thirteen of its planned twenty six episodes were cut.
The shortened season of “Game of Thrones” left many plotlines unfinished, and some characters were not given the development they deserved. ..
The article is focused on the city’s lack of focus on its environment, specifically the lack of green space.
Some people are convinced that the missing persons case of Ashley Smith is a hoax. ..
Yuri Nakamura is one of the main characters in the game, but we don’t ever get to know how or why she dies. This deprives players of a lot of backstory, which makes it difficult to invest in her character. ..
The main character’s lack of development is egregiously wasted potential in my book.
12. Prince Clovis
I think we all agree that Prince Clovis is not a good character.
He was a complete and utter disaster as a journalist, then tried to cover up his atrocities in order to make them seem less awful.
The main point of this article is that despite being a terrible character development-wise, the author’s main character, John, could have been much better.
In fact, Prince Clovis had multiple opportunities taken away from him by the writers to actually round him out a little.
In the first episode, we meet the bad guy, who is one-dimensional and evil for about half an hour before he’s killed.
It was pretty much a waste to have even introduced him in the first place, really! ..
13. Tsumugu Kinagase
Kill la Kill is an anime that is known for its extreme violence and gore. It has been criticized for its sexual content, which some say is too explicit. ..
Kinagase’s fall from grace began when it was revealed that he had been caught up in a bribery scandal involving the Japanese Football Association. This led to his suspension from the Japan national team, and his exclusion from the World Cup. Kinagase has since become a figure of ridicule within the Japanese media, and is no longer seen as a credible spokesman for the country.
He seemed to hit a point of badassery and then all of a sudden, things just started getting taken away.
After being hailed as a fearless warrior, John became a bumbling laughing stock of a character. ..
The story of his tragic backstory was never revisited after a while, and it was only after he committed suicide that people began to pay attention.
The team started cutting all of his dialogue, to the point where most of his participation came in the form of grunts or short replies.
14. BlackWarGreymon
Sometimes a noble sacrifice can be the defining moment of a character’s story. ..
The characters in this story may have been acting out of character to save someone they love, or they may be doing something out of character to save themselves.
That’s not what happened with BlackWarGreymon.
BlackWarGreymon was created by an evil Digimon who turned his back on his master and questioned his existence. He didn’t get a chance to expound on his new discoveries – as he sacrificed himself for no real reason shortly after he was introduced.
Sometimes, sacrificing oneself for the good of others can actually prevent us from getting to know interesting characters. ..
15. Midori Save-the-World
Space Patrol Luluco is a new anime series that is set in the future and follows the adventures of a female space patrol officer. The show is based on the manga of the same name by Naoki Urasawa. ..
Midori is a wasted character because she doesn’t do anything to help the world.
The new show is sure to be centered around the main character, who will be a major player in every episode. ..
The protagonist of this series is a woman who is struggling to find her place in the world. She is a main character for about two and a half episodes at least.
After that, she falls victim to not being one of the two other main characters who fall in love with each other, and is relegated to one side in favor of their story. ..
Midori, you are a disgrace. Inventing a machine that creates blackholes does nothing to protect you from being a third wheel in this day and age.
