The anime has been popular for a long time because it is well-made and well-paced.

The YGO anime is a great way to introduce new mechanics to the card game. The anime has some crazy battles mixed in, which makes it an interesting and exciting experience for players.

  1. Yugi Muto
  2. Jaden Yuki
  3. Bakura
  4. Duel Academy Student
  5. Zexal

The Yu-Gi-Oh! characters are rated according to how much I think they suck.

Yu-Gi-Oh! fans rejoice! I’ve decided to focus on the characters from the first Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime, but I’ve also taken the liberty to include some absolutely fantastic characters from the sequels. So if you’re a fan of the anime and want to know what to expect when watching my series, be sure to check out my profile for more information.

20. Mai Valentine

Mai is the first competent female duelist that we’ve seen in Yu-Gi-Oh. ..

The original anime was too male-centric and even though I’m a profound hater of the woke movement, it was cool to see a female character that could kick someone’s ass in a duel.

I’m also including Mai on my list because I remember struggling against her deck back in the days of Yu-Gi-Oh 7 Trials to Glory, when the game was extremely popular circa 2005. She is a respected duelist because she has served my own arse for breakfast on more than one occasion. ..

19. Dartz

The original Yu-Gi-Oh anime had some amazing villains who were able to defeat the heroes in spectacular fashion.

I think Dartz was one of the most talented of the bunch. ..

Dartz was one of the best-ever antagonists in any Duel Monsters anime. His arc was out of this world! ..

18. Duke Devlin

Duke is a fantastic character who introduced the Dungeon Dice Monsters game which was a weird mix of D&D and Duel Monsters.

Looking back on my time at the company, it was pretty cool. I got to work with some of the coolest people and learned a lot. It was a great experience.

Duke Devlin beat Joey and made him wear a dog costume, which was really fun.

17. Mokuba Kaiba

Mokuba is not as good of a character as he seems.

In the series, Seto shows affection towards his brother, Jotaro.

Seto Kaiba is one of the most important characters in the series because of his personality dynamics with his younger brother Mokuba. The two of them formed a strong bond that affected the rest of the Kaiba family throughout the series. ..

I never really got along with Mokuba, and I only liked him when he was around Seto. ..

16. Ishizu Ishtar

Ishizu is Marik’s sister, the wielder of the Millenium Necklace. She is one of the more mystical characters in the original anime.

She wasn’t as skilled a duelist as her brother. But her ability to stop his plants and avoid the betrayal of the family was enough to make her memorable. ..

15. Rafael

Rafael was one of the most powerful monsters in the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime, and he was eventually defeated by the Doma Swordsmen. If you remember that fight, then you probably remember Rafael – even if his name doesn’t come to mind at first.

That guy is the founder of the Doma Swordsmen.

Rafael was a badass that was known for his fighting skills and his determination. He was also known for being a great leader.

14. Yuya Sakaki

Yuya is a very good Pendulum summoner, and has a mild and calm personality.

Some of the best cards in Yu-Gi-Oh are the ones that feature protagonist Joey Wheeler. These cards can help you win matches easily, and can also be used to help your team win games.

13. Rebecca Hawkins

Rebecca is always one of my favorite characters from Yu-Gi-Oh filler arcs. She’s a fun and quirky character who always has something to say.

She was a very skilled duelist who managed to become a Duel Monsters champion at a young age, and her appearance on the show shows why she was so good at what she did. ..

In the anime, 12-year-old Rin is one of the successful duelists. She’s only 12 years old, making her one of the youngest successful duelists in her generation.

12. Zane Truesdale

Kite is one of the most popular characters in the GX anime and manga series. He has a strong rivalry with Jaden Yuki, and has been known to best him in duels on several occasions. ..

Zane’s fantastic deck comprised of mechanic dragons was enough to make my teenage-self envious of his cards and with the hopes of getting them someday. That never happened, as the deck never made its way to my home country. But I still revere Zane as one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh characters ever.

Remember how the doctor revived him with no explanation whatsoever? It was hilarious stuff.

11. Alexis Rhodes

Alexis is one of the most popular anime characters and one of the best duelists at the academy in “GX.” ..

She was a member of the Obelisk Blue dorm, and one of the most skilled duelists of her generation. ..

The main character in the series might not have been as compelling as other characters.

In the series, she was a duelist and academic genius.

10. Noah Kaiba

Noah was the only son of Seto Kaiba’s father and was a work of art. He had a bright future ahead of him, but he was also faced with many challenges. Despite his challenges, Noah always had the love and support of his family and friends.

The little guy was a good duelist and an asshole, but he was also very skilled in battle arenas. ..

Yugi managed to beat Noah himself using Seto’s cards. I think everyone who watched the Battle City arc will remember that moment fondly.

9. Yusei Fudo

I know many of you reading this will crucify me for putting Yusei in a worse spot than Jaden… but as I said at the beginning of this article, this is solely based on my opinion. And, sadly, I didn’t enjoy 5D as much as GX. Sue me.

In any case, Yusei deserves a sport on my list because of his fantastic personality, as well as his ability to beat almost any opponent that would get in his way.

His deck was extraordinary and it really went to show the true power of Synchro.

The protagonist of the series is a great character who is one of the best in the series. He is strong, brave, and has a lot of heart. He is also very likable and people want to be around him.

8. Joey Wheeler

Joey Wheeler is a charismatic person.

I think the main reason we love him is because of his drive to always improve himself. He started off the series as a rather mediocre duelist, if you ask me. But he grew to become a fantastic sidekick for Yugi. ..

Joey is a memorable character because of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

The dragon card in question is the black-and-gold dragon, one of the most popular cards in the game. It’s a powerful creature that can be played on its own or as part of a deck with other cards like the fire giant and the warlock.

7. Mako Tsunami

Mako always seemed like a cool guy. ..

The introduction of the Legendary Fisherman in the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime was a huge part of the show’s legacy. I think Joey is one of the coolest Yu-Gi-Oh characters because of his personality, but it’s safe to say that his ocean-themed deck was also one that many people loved when we were all kids.

Do you remember that fight where he used the Atlantis field card alongside his Legendary Fisherman card? It was a chilling sight.

6. Marik

Yami Marik is a character that you could truly love whether it was in his regular form, or as Yami Marik. Both versions of the character were amazing.

But it’s safe to say that the Yami version was out of this world. ..

The duels with the Egyptian God cards were a way for kids to show their parents that they were brave and strong.

In any case, Marik is one of the most compelling and complex characters in the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime. And one of the most memorable and feared antagonists that have graced the entire series. ..

5. Pegasus

Pegasus was a cheat, but he was still one of the best duelists in the world.

In the first season of “The Crown,” Prince Philip’s arc was outstanding. ..

Relinquished was a very interesting card to have in an age where we didn’t have XYZ cards. And we barely had any usable Fusions apart from the ones that we saw in the anime (like the Red Eyes Meteor Dragon or the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon). ..

The toon monsters in the movie were fresh and exciting at the time.

4. Yami Bakura

I loved this guy when I was a kid, and I think it’s time that I remembered how much I loved him.

I thought he looked like a badass when we first met. And now, 20 years later, I think the same about him.

The Millennium Staff is a team of experts in the field of supernatural activity. They make up a large part of the security team at the company, and they’re always on the lookout for anything strange or mysterious. One day, they met a man who had something that made him stand out from the rest. He had one of the scariest personalities you’d love to see in any character. But not only that: his Millenium Staff made him look even more like a badass.

When he’s Yami Bakura, of course, he’s a powerful and dangerous sorcerer.

Bakura is a lame guy, but his dark side is really cool.

3. Jaden Yuki

Many people didn’t like Jaden as a character. He was often seen as being too cocky and too self-promoting. Some people found him to be uninteresting or even annoying.

I still think Yugi/Atem is the best protagonist of a Yu-Gi-Oh anime.

He was amazing with his friends. His interactions with them were amazing and, let’s be honest, his deck was something else.

Jaden Yuki is a passionate duelist who embodies the heart and soul of a duelist. He has successfully fused with the Elemental Heroes, and his combat style reflects their powers perfectly. ..

He was one of the new students at Slyfer Red Dorm, but quickly became a key figure in the academy.

Many people find Jaden’s character to be an inspiration. I think he was more entertaining as a non-Yami character than Yugi himself. ..

2. Yami Yugi / Atem

Yu-Gi-Oh is a popular card game that people often think of when they hear the word “yugi.”

He’s the classic protagonist, one of the most memorable characters in our childhoods. If you were like me and enjoyed playing this fantastic card game, then you probably sucked at it too.

The anime ends with us understanding more about Yami, and if you watched the whole series, then you know why I’m also referring to him as Atem.

The interactions between Yugi and Atem are fantastic. And his compelling character brings balance to the anime, but there’s no better character than Atem himself - aside from Kaiba, that is. ..

1. Seto Kaiba

There is definitely more of an emblematic character than Kaiba. He is a powerful and influential figure in the game industry, and his actions have had a significant impact on the industry as a whole. He has been a driving force behind many of the industry’s biggest trends and innovations, and his influence can be felt throughout the gaming community.

Yugi and Yugi had a complicated relationship. They were friends until they were forced to fight each other in the Duel Monsters tournament. From then on, their relationship was one of hate and respect.

Seto Kaiba was an absolute badass. He was also one of the most family-focused characters in the original Yu-Gi-Oh series, even though he seemed to love money above all else (but did he really?).

Kaiba was the man who rocked the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. This card was once a legend that everyone wanted to snag.

The BEWD is a legendary card that is still being used in newer decks.
