This could be due to a number of reasons, but the biggest is likely the wide range of bad Pokémon that have the typing (especially Sunkern), with a pretty low number of really good ones.
The selection of Grass-types in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver is not as diverse as other typings. ..
Grass monsters are a great option for teams that face opponents with a lot of water, ground, or rock-type Pokémon. They can take care of those types easily. ..
The best laptops for students are those that are both strong and versatile, while also being easy to use. ..
5. Vileplume
This was a tough decision whether to include Vileplume, or its counterpart Bellossom.
I decided to go with Vileplume because it is easier to access and has generally higher damage output.
I call this Pokémon an “average” Pokémon because it has the basics down well – it can do the job well, but can be improved with a varied moveset.
When you reach the final two Gyms in the Johto Region, you can be sure Vileplume will be there to help you out in a major way.
How to get: Oddish can be found in the Ilex Forest early on in the game. Then, evolve into Gloom at level 21 and use a Leaf Stone on it to evolve into Vileplume.
4. Victreebel
This Pokémon is very similar to Vileplume, even being a Grass/Poison-type and having the same base-stat total.
We put Victreebel higher because it is a great plant for growing in moist areas.
The main reason to choose the Sonic the Hedgehog character over others in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is their higher base Speed stat. This makes them faster overall, which can help a bit more in a regular playthrough. Additionally, Sonic’s well-rounded stat distribution means that they have a few options for attacking and defending that are useful in most situations. ..
The Johto gym is a great place to start your journey into the world of Pokémon. Not only can you access all of the Gym Leaders here, but you can also find all of the best Pokémon here. This includes some of the most powerful and interesting ones, so be sure to check it out!
How to get: Bellsprout can be found as early as Route 31 in the wild, or in Sprout Tower. It evolves into Weepinbell at level 21, then use a Leaf Stone on it to evolve into Victreebel.
3. Exeggutor
Exeggutor is already pretty good at typing Grass/Psychic. If you keep it away from bugs, it will be even better.
The Pokémon’s high Special Attack stat allows it to hit opponents very hard with its powerful attacks.
The biggest downside of Exeggutor is its relatively low Speed stat. But you can give it a Quick Claw to help with that – or with the right moveset, your slower speed won’t even matter.
Exeggutor is a solid pick for a Grass-type in the new Pokémon games, regardless of how you play it. ..
How to get: Most trees around the region have a chance of dropping an Exeggcute if you use Headbutt on them. Then just use a Leaf Stone on it at any level to evolve into Exeggutor.
2. Tangrowth
This ball of vines has a very powerful base-stat total of 535, and it can take physical hits quite well while also dealing out good physical and special damage.
The food is great, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. What’s not to love? ..
The moveset of Tangrowth in HGSS is quite diverse, with Earthquake being a staple move. This allows Tangrowth to deal a lot of damage and take care of many threats.
Pokémon like Machamp and Dragonite are some of the most popular choices for competitive battling, but they also have some of the lowest stats in the game. That’s not the case with Garchomp, which has a great mix of stats that make it a powerful contender. ..
To get Tangela, you can find it in the grass of Route 44. It will evolve while leveling-up and knowing the move Ancientpower. ..
1. Meganium
Grass-type Pokémon are not as common as they used to be, so a starter would be at the top of this list if there were such a thing.
Chikorita and Bayleef may struggle in their first few Gym battles. ..
The Kingdra is a powerful dragon that Claire can fight with ease. If you have a Meganium, you’ll be able to take on the dragon easily.
If you want to make the most of your Pokémon journey, I would suggest running it as a staple in your party. This will allow you to grind up the Pokémon throughout the entire game. ..
To get the Chikorita starter Pokémon, you should choose it at the beginning of the game. ..
