Anime fans were quick to criticize Black Clover when Asta, the lead character, was initially annoying. This small mistake could have ruined an otherwise great show. ..
There are many great anime MCs out there, but here are a few that deserve your attention.
This list is made up of some of the most well-known and well-developed main characters in anime, from the most popular to the newest. From Naruto to Attack on Titan, these are some of the most memorable and iconic characters in the medium.
30. Hitagi Senjougahara
Senjougahara is one of my favorite female characters because she is a balanced character who is in love but doesn’t care about others. ..
She’s a cool and collected person, and she knows when to be wholesome and nice or when to shove a stapler in your mouth and tell you to shut up.
The show’s main character, Araragi, never seemed to revolve around her. Her dry wit was definitely a high point of the show.
In the latest installment of the popular shounen anime series, Naruto, the main protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki, is facing off against a new enemy: the Akatsuki. The Akatsuki are a group of ninja who have been hiding in the shadows for years, waiting to strike at Naruto and his friends. The Akatsuki are a powerful and dangerous organization, and they are determined to take down Naruto and his friends. If you want to help stop them, you’ll need to be very careful. There’s no telling who or what might be waiting for you when you get close to them.
29. Izaya Orihara
Izaya was the star of the show for me, even though the other characters were more interesting.
Despite his villainous role, I found it difficult to dislike the guy. ..
He had a very believable charisma and his schemes were always larger than life.
He was a complete badass who could take out most people in a one-on-one.
Shizuo and Ando had a bromance that was so aggressive, it made me ship them.
28. Koro-Sensei
I was conflicted on this since all the main characters are S-tier, with Karma being the coolest, Nagisa the most interesting, and Koro-Sensei the most lovable.
I decided to take up kendo because of the story behind it.
The man in the story is a big goofball who tries his hardest to prepare his students for life, and for murder.
Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of the popular anime series “Anime” and “Death Note,” has a unique and memorable personality that makes him one of the most beloved figures in the industry. His smile and laugh are always infectious, and his stories often have a touching or sad undertone. I couldn’t help but include him in this article, as he is an important figure in anime history and has made some truly amazing moments.
27. Kazuma Satou
Kazuma is one of the most relatable anime characters. He is not idealized in any way, and his personality is completely realistic. ..
He has a unique way of speaking that can feel like you’re watching yourself in the anime world.
I can’t really relate to someone who’s willing to die in order to save a wounded demon lord. But I can definitely relate to getting ticked when someone’s in his face, so he returns a sucker punch.
Kazuma is not a good role model. ..
I find him irresistible because he is a main character who is both funny and interesting.
26. Osamu Dazai
Bungo Stray Dogs is an anime series that tells the story of a group of stray dogs who are forced to work for a crime boss. ..
You’re right. He should be.
The main point is that the Trump administration has released a budget proposal that would drastically reduce funding for many federal agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The Trump administration’s budget proposal would reduce funding for many federal agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency. ..
Dazai is a loner who is always looking for a way to die. He’s very nonchalant about it and seems like he doesn’t really care about the consequences. This sets off alarms in my head because it seems like the dude has a good story.
I was not disappointed. ..
His design is sick. His power is really cool (and kind of broken). Whenever he’s faced with his past, I get extremely hyped. ..
25. Sinbad
Anime: Magi: Adventure of Sinbad The story of Sinbad, a sailor who travels to various exotic locales in search of treasure, and his friends Alibaba and Ali Baba.
There are a million power-fantasy antagonists out there, all so powerful that it feels like you’re looking at a literal devil.
Many people find that the personalities of cats are usually quite bland. ..
Although he is undeniably powerful, his personality always remained his most important characteristic. He knew how to seduce or terrify those who opposed him.
He had a following of loyalists and was truly striving for greatness.
The man who blew up a mountain in order to prove a point is an impressive figure, and his actions give him all the badass points.
24. Izuku Midoriya
Anime: A young boy named Izuku Midoriya is a rising star in the Hero Academy. He’s a natural born leader, and his classmates and teachers alike are in awe of his skills. But one day, something goes wrong. Izuku’s hero power starts to fade, and he can’t seem to stop it from happening. He doesn’t know what to do…
Deku is a character who is often forgettable and uninteresting. He doesn’t have much of a personality, and his writing is often forgettable.
In fact, I think that conceptually, Todoroki, Uraraka, and even Bakugou are better than him. ..
I have never been as motivated to root for a character like I am for Deku. He is an underdog who has overcome great obstacles and continues to fight despite the odds. ..
Deku is one of the few dandere protagonists in the industry, and his interactions with Eri always seem so genuine and touching. The Overhaul arc in particular sold me on Deku as an amazing protagonist. ..
23. Hyakkimaru
Hyakkimaru, a seemingly unremarkable young man, is the only person in the anime universe to have a katana with no blade. ..
Hyakkimaru was born without any physical attribute that would make one human – apart from conscious thought.
He was unable to see, speak, feel, or move, but he managed to tough it out.
He’s a bit of an oddball, but his story has always been interesting to me.
22. Shigeo Kageyama
Anime: A story of a young boy who is forced to deal with the consequences of his actions.
Although this show initially seemed like a One Punch Man rip-off, it’s leaps and bounds ahead when it comes to character writing. The characters are well-drawn and have a strong emotional connection with the audience. This show is definitely worth watching.
Mob especially was a delight to follow, as his narrative was no less than a coming-of-age-story.
Between all the chaotic battles and epic soundtracks, we saw Mob trying to be a normal kid and having normal issues like the rest of us.
He was a victim of his own power and didn’t know how to stand up for himself. He felt a lot of guilt because of it. ..
Saitama is not on this list because he does not have the substance to be given between all the big bangs and gags. ..
21. Rudeus Greyrat
Anime: A story of a Reincarnation-obsessed individual who is forced to work as a slave in order to save his family.
Rudeus has a lot of the qualities that I like in Kazuma, but on a deeper level. ..
Rudeus, like Kazuma, received the old isekai treatment after death.
Rudeus is a complete and utter garbage person.
I really, really don’t like this.
He starts out learning about the new world and how to be good in it. He actually becomes quite likable as a result.
The show has been criticized for its questionable scenes, but I still find it to be a great story arc. It’s like watching a TLC show of anime.
20. Legoshi
Legoshi is a well-written and personal account of a mental battle, which is one of the most realistic I’ve read in years.
He’s a gentle giant who loves to cuddle.
He feels ashamed of who he is, and is constantly battling with his own instinct to make the people around him feel safe and comfortable. ..
In this series, the main character, Heero Yuy, gets a lot of development. His personality is that of a badass saint, and I found it very interesting to see how he changes over the course of the series.
19. Senku
Senku is a young man who has been through a lot in his life, and he has learned how to be strong and independent. He is also a great role model for anyone who wants to be successful.
The guy is a right-wing conspiracy theorist who is putting on a Ben Shapiro costume and spitting straight facts as he uses science to bring back society as we know it.
He doesn’t like dealing with emotional stuff, and always has his eye on the future, while also thanking God that workers’ rights don’t exist in the stone age.
He’s a pretty inspiring guy that even got me, a filthy English major, to be interested in science and math.
The president must be doing something right, according to many.
18. Kakashi Hatake
Although the focus is usually on Naruto and Sasuke, I always cared more about Kakashi.
Sasuke has a tragic backstory, while the dude has never fallen to darkness. ..
Naruto was never the type to back down from a fight. He showed his true capabilities as a ninja by never running away from a challenge. ..
Guy and I have a great bromance. He’s always so wholesome and friendly, and it just overwhelms me.
17. Askeladd
Both Askeladd and Thorfinn did what Sasuke could not: be an evil good guy consistently and believably.
Askeladd was a revelation, as he was given more depth than the first few episodes suggested.
The twist in his backstory was truly brilliant and his performance at the end of the series was legendary.
The true highlight of the show was Askeladd’s complexity.
16. Norman
Anime is a genre of entertainment that often deals with the fantastical and the surreal. It can be a way to escape reality, or to explore new ideas and concepts. In this article, we will explore one of the most popular anime genres, The Promised Neverland. This anime is set in a world where the sky is blue and the earth is green, and where people can only come from one place: The Promised Land.
The Promised Neverland is a novel that follows the lives of three intelligent, but flawed, characters. Each has their own unique story that intertwines with the others in a way that is both compelling and entertaining. However, it is the main trio of The Promised Neverland who are truly stand out in this novel. They are each incredibly intelligent and have an amazing ability to think on their feet, but they also have a deep-seated anger and resentment towards the world around them. This makes for an interesting and engaging read, even though it can be difficult to follow their every move.
Norman was the most interesting person in the story, as it always seemed like he was a great puppet master pulling the strings of the story.
He was a bit of both.
He was a rational and believable person.
However, this only applies to the first season. I have mentally erased the second season from my memory for good.
15. Subaru Natsuki
This guy is one of the most admirable characters in anime, based on the fact that he’s not in an insane asylum yet.
The mental beating he has taken over the course of the series is nothing less than terrifying. So the fact that he still has a gleam in his eye and a willingness to keep trying is both extremely inspiring, and a bit worrying.
He has always been loyal to his best girl, even if she is forgettable. He has proven himself to be quite the tactician, so quite a few sides to this seemingly forgettable dude.
14. Joutarou Kuujo
The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders anime is a new and exciting series that tells the story of Jotaro Kujo, a young man who is part of a group of friends who travel to different parts of the world in order to fight evil. This anime is full of action and adventure, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.
Joutarou is a badass. ..
This man is designed to be attractive and alluring, with a few quirks that make him even more so. He has a very limited range of emotions, both of which are always flattering. It becomes really difficult to keep your eyes off this guy, no matter what.
He is the star of every scene he is in. His deduction skills make every fight a treat to watch. ..
The most glorious displays of mudas usually end in disaster.
13. Giorno Giovanna
In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, the story follows Jotaro Kujo as he travels through time to stop a powerful evil force from taking over the world. Along the way, Jotaro must face off against various enemies, including a mysterious being known as The Phantom of the Opera.
I wanted to keep the JoJos close on this list because they are similar to me in a lot of ways.
Giorno is a different type of badass. He usually just looks friendly and elegant, but can still do things even Joutarou couldn’t.
A cold-blooded murder with a banana is an example of a heinous crime.
Every time his theme comes up, you can feel the energy building until something happens that really gets your juices flowing.
The JoJo Franchise is Coming Out with a Better JoJo Than Giorno
12. Morgiana
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is an anime set in a world of magic and adventure. The story follows the journey of a young boy named Aladdin, who is searching for his father, who has been missing for years. Along the way, he meets other characters who help him on his quest, including Alibaba, a merchant with a mysterious past; Morgiana, a female thief; and Sinbad, the captain of the ship Alibaba was sailing on. Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is an exciting and visually stunning anime that will leave you wanting more. ..
Morgiana is an interesting character who deserves her own spin-off. She has the potential to attract a large audience, just like Sinbad. ..
This is because she is both adorable and badass, and you would want her by your side.
Morgiana is a beautiful woman with thunder thighs and an irresistible personality. She is the perfect partner for someone who wants a relationship that is both serious and fun.
11. Akane Tsunemori
But the first season is only the beginning of this story. We need to see what happens next to these characters and what new challenges they face.
Akane’s second season made me fall in love with her on a fundamental level. ..
She just became a badass by taking down her opponents with quick and deadly strikes.
She was fascinated by the idea of law and order, and saw it as a way to keep people safe.
I love strong independent female characters who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in.
10. Eren Yeager
The anime Attack on Titan is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed shows of all time. It follows the story of a group of people who are forced to live in a walled city after a giant creature known as a titan destroys most of humanity. ..
It took me a while to warm up to Eren, I was honest. As I was always more interested in what Levi or Erwin were up to.
The fourth season of “Attack on Titan” blew my mind and allowed Eren to reach celebrity status.
I was really impressed with how good Eren was in this new anime. He’s definitely one of my favorite characters now. ..
After three seasons of watching, I can’t put him in the top three anymore. But at least the finale pushed him up to tenth place on this ranking. ..
9. Nana Osaki
If you know me, then you know that I am a huge fan of this series. ..
An anime that I believe is worth your time is “Death Note.” The story, characters, and overall production are all top-notch. I think as you get older, the more you’ll appreciate the depth of the story. ..
I always preferred the Rock Queen over the other Nana because she was so fascinating to watch. ..
She had a good mix of strong traits and believable insecurities/sensibilities that really made her stand out. ..
The show’s protagonist, Sarah, is a flawed character who I fell in love with just a few episodes into the show. Sarah is an imperfect person who has her own set of quirks and flaws that make her unique and engaging.
8. Zoro Roronoa
Zoro was always my second-in-command, but he was the first in my heart.
I just couldn’t get attached to Luffy’s optimistic ideal as much as I could to Zoro’s undisputable badassery and drip.
The guy just screams “cool.”
He’s a master of the sword, and is a prime example of why you never mess with the dude who can fight with a blade in his mouth.
Despite the fact that nothing happened, the infamous “nothing happened” scene in his anime is still one of the most hyped moments in anime history. His endurance and commitment are truly remarkable. ..
7. Kamina
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is one of the most popular anime series ever made. It tells the story of a young man named Simon who is trying to save the world from an evil force known as Lordgenome. The series is full of action, adventure, and humor. ..
Kamina is a unique and powerful character who has left an impression on me quickly and effectively. She is a strong and determined woman who is always willing to stand up for what she believes in, no matter what. I have never met someone who is as passionate about their work as Kamina is, and I am sure that she will continue to make an impact on the world for years to come.
Within just an episode or two, I was already looking for his glasses on eBay. I had seen them advertised and knew they were a must-have for any fashion-savvy person.
After what happens, I was a step away from becoming an alcoholic.
Simon is a great leader because he can get the most out of his team. He always has a positive attitude and inspires them to do their best. ..
I’m talking about taking 100 selfies, writing a book, and asking your long-term crush out on a date.
6. Gon Freecss
Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011) is a popular anime that follows the story of a young boy named Gon and his friends, Hunter and Killua. The anime is full of action, adventure, and humor.
Gon is not all that creative when it comes to his writing. In fact, he follows most of the tried and true stereotypes of a shounen protagonist.
With a few little tweaks, this story could be rewritten as a powerful indictment of the Trump administration.
In the manga, the protagonist has the same gleam in his eye and idealistic outlook on life, just like other shounen protagonists do. But he actually does a lot of killing when you actually think about it.
The Ant Man is a worker ant that dared to cross him.
There are still some surprises to be had with this little guy, even after all these years.
5. Edward Elric
Brotherhood is an anime series that follows the story of a group of young boys who are forced to fight in a war against an alien race. The boys are forced to use their own strength and skills to survive, and must use their teamwork and intelligence to defeat their enemies.
Edward is a bland shounen protagonist who seems to lack any real personality.
He is not a real person.
The most significant difference between the two characters is that the one is not a muscle-head and the other is a pacifist. The other main difference between them is that the one uses his knowledge to secure a victory, while the other does not.
He can still be a kick-ass rockstar when he needs to. But he’s far more human than many of his counterparts.
4. Light Yagami
The sun is just fascinating to look at.
The protagonist is a brilliant, but introverted, young man who is pushed forward by his God complex.
He can be calm and calculated one second, and then lash out at you the next. ..
L and the cat had a great chase scene in the anime. L was just as important to the cat as the cat was to L.
The show’s main character, Light, was a very important figure in it. He did a lot for the show and will be remembered for it for many years to come.
3. Rintarou Okabe
In the next two entries, you’ll see why I believe Okabe should be placed in the hall of fame as one of the world’s most brilliant psycho geniuses. ..
The guy deserves respect for what he’s done.
The writing team successfully balanced him perfectly between being the most lovable goof on the planet, and being a time traveling mad scientist. ..
Despite his flaws, we see throughout the show that he is very committed to the people he loves, making him feel three-dimensional and oddly idealistic. ..
Kurisu is a very strong contender for this spot.
I like my mad scientist a little more because she’s a little more unpredictable.
2. Johan Liebert
Johan is one of the most well-written antagonists in history. He has captivated audiences for 74 episodes with the promise of understanding him. ..
He actually doesn’t have a lot of screen time, but his influence is felt in each and every scene. His words are the Bible for some darned soul.
The best part of this book is that even the author doesn’t understand himself, which allows for the writers to make turns and turns in his psyche while we’re all strapped in and screaming on the sociopath rollercoaster.
1. Lelouch Lamperouge
Lelouch is a psychopathic anti-hero who is the king of all anti-heroes. He is a ruthless and cold-blooded killer who will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He is a merciless and calculating individual who will not hesitate to kill anyone or anything in his way.
Lelouch was a compelling and satisfying character, despite having a weak grip on the reader’s attention.
I believe the ending to his personal journey, and the series itself, is one of the best (if not the best) that anime has to offer.
The author’s main point is that it would have been difficult for him to write any other way.
Johan and Light are two of the most brilliant minds in the world, but they’re not quite as cold or psychopathic as many people think. In fact, they’re actually very good leaders at heart - something that came about because they had to use their power to bring about change.
