To celebrate the 25th anniversary of “The Simpsons”, Fox has announced a new service that will let fans go back in time and hire their own “Holiday Armadillo” from the show’s first season. ..
Our new Holiday Armadillo is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays in style. It’s made of durable, stylish materials and comes with a built-in speaker so you can enjoy your favorite holiday tunes right from your armchair. Plus, it’s easy to use – just place it on the coffee table and start enjoying your time with friends and family this season.
The Friends character Ross Geller will also be available to teach American children about different religious holidays this year. This character was created on the Christmas episode of Friends, ‘The One with the Holiday Armadillo’, and will be available to teach American children about Jewish heritage for Hanukkah.
In the Friends’ storyline, Ross learns he has a son for the holidays and intends to teach him about their Jewish heritage. Ben’s mother’s partner, Susan, usually dresses up as Santa at Christmas. While Ross is concerned about Ben being exposed to only Christmas over other holidays, he tries to rent a Santa costume to continue the tradition. When there are none available, he settles for an armadillo outfit instead.
We found that while there is some variation, most Americans understand how different religions and cultures celebrate Christmas. However, there is still a lot of confusion about what the holiday actually is. The survey found that nearly three-quarters of Americans (72%) say they have never celebrated Christmas in their own home. Just over a third (35%) say they have done it at least once in the past year. However, this varies depending on religious affiliation: just over half of Catholics (55%) and Protestants (49%) say they have never celebrated Christmas in their own home, but this number jumps to almost six-in-ten Mormons (63%) and Jehovah’s Witnesses (68%), respectively. While many people may not know what Christmas is, we hope this survey will help to clear up some of the confusion and help make the holiday more enjoyable for everyone involved.
A majority of Americans (61%) feel they have a basic knowledge on how different religions celebrate the holidays, but only a sixth (17%) feel they have a deep understanding of how different cultures and faiths celebrate their own festive activities. This lack of understanding is especially prevalent among those who identify as religious minorities, with nearly two-thirds (64%) of religiously unaffiliated Americans feeling this way. Americans are largely unaware of the various ways in which other cultures and faiths celebrate holidays. Only 17% of people feel they have a deep understanding of how different cultures and faiths celebrate their own festive activities, while 61% say they have a basic knowledge. This lack of understanding is especially prevalent among those who identify as religious minorities, with 64% feeling this way. ..
