In this article, I’m going to talk about the five best titles in the world. These titles are all incredibly influential and have had a significant impact on the world.
There are a lot of manga out there that are notmainstream, but they can be a great option for someone looking for a good but non-mainstream manga to binge on.
- The Best Books of the Year
- The Worst Books of the Year
20. Soul Catcher(S)
I can imagine how difficult drawing music can be because it’s so often the foundation of a piece.
Despite the decline of manga in general, there are still a lot of musical manga out there. This may be due to the popularity of anime and J-pop music, or simply because musical manga appeal to a niche audience. Regardless, it’s an interesting trend to watch and explore. ..
This manga is about an orchestra, and it’s rather uncommon.
Soul Catcher tells the story of a boy who can see people’s hearts. He uses this ability to conduct music that moves them. ..
The protagonist has a supernatural power, but the fantasy ends there. Mixed in with well-placed humor, this manga can easily blow you away.
19. Kenshirou ni Yoroshiku (Give My Regards to Kenshirou)
Kenshirou ni Yoroshiku is a manga about revenge that’s unique and powerful.
The protagonist has been through a lot because of the Yakuza. They don’t typically do things like this to people, so it’s clear that something is really wrong. ..
He’s not beaten, tortured, or the like. Instead, his mother elopes with a member of the Yakuza and leaves him at a very young age. That has convinced him that the Yakuza is the reason for his suffering.
He consults with the holy book (read: Fist of the North Star) and follows Kenshirou’s training. When the time has come, he sets an ambush for the Yakuza and shows him the legendary technique. That’s when he learns that that kind of thing doesn’t work in real life.
The story follows the everyday lives of four young adults who are struggling to find their place in the world. They are all trying to figure out what it means to be an adult, and how to navigate the complicated world that they live in. The manga is written and illustrated by Hiroki Endo, and it is published by Shueisha. ..
The protagonist’s absurd and exaggerated behavior brings out hilarious moments. ..
18. Sousei no Taiga
What if you’re sent back in time to help them out?
In Sousei no Taiga, a group of college students are sent into the past without any knowledge of what they’re getting themselves into. ..
Although the art isn’t really that noteworthy, the story line more than makes up for it.
In a surreal situation, the main characters are forced to maximize their knowledge of the future while amassing new knowledge from the past. All for the sake of survival.
17. Kokou no Hito
Manga is a genre of comics that typically deals with adventure, comedy, and romance. It has a wide range of topics, from crime to love.
It’s about team work and strategy, and how to outwit your opponents and survive in a hostile environment.
This title is a mystery, and it’s up to the reader to figure out what it means.
The film follows two climbers, one a young man and the other an experienced veteran, as they attempt to summit a mountain in order to raise money for charity. The film is narrated by the veteran, who tells the story of his own journey up the mountain and how it has changed him as a person.
The climbing in the game provides a sense of accomplishment and helps the characters develop relationships. ..
16. Rin
Bakuman is a manga that tells the story of a young man named Koyomi who creates manga in his spare time. The manga has been praised for its gripping art and soulful story, which speaks to the soul of the reader.
Rin is a unique character who is similar to that. admittedly, Bakuman is far better than Rin, but Rin can hold a candle to Bakuman storywise.
Although the art isn’t as amazing as Bakuman, Harold Sakuishi’s unique way of making his main characters pop makes up for it. ..
He makes sure to draw the side characters a lot uglier than the main characters. I’m talking about people who are not interesting or sympathetic, and who are just there to serve the story’s purpose.
15. Jisatsutou (Suicide Island)
The titular island is made in an attempt to save the lives of people who have attempted suicide multiple times. ..
The island is a place where people who have tried to take their own lives are left. They don’t have any resources, so they are left on the island without anything. All means of communication are blocked.
Kouji Mori, the creator of Sousei no Taiga, is also Jisatsutou’s creator. This means that a great story line is already a given.
Gray areas are a common theme in Jisatsutou. The protagonist isn’t always sure who to trust, and the bad guys aren’t always sure who to fight for.
Ultimately, everyone is just a piece of paper cut from the same source. ..
In a world where everything is seemingly against us, it’s hard to keep going. But we have to try. We have to keep going, even when the odds seem insurmountable. Even when we feel like we can’t take another step. Everybody is trying to survive in this world, even if they don’t know it. And that’s what makes the world so interesting and so full of potential for adventure. ..
14. Tantei Xeno to Nanatsu no Satsujin Misshitsu (Detective Xeno and the Seven Locked Murder Rooms)
In Tantei Xeno to Nanatsu no Satsujin Misshitsu, Detective Xeno investigates seven locked murder rooms in an attempt to learn more about the series’ villain and his past. This story follows Xeno as he tries to solve the murders and find out more about his past.
Xeno is a detective who solves top-notch mysteries. Each case requires vast knowledge from different expertise, which makes for an interesting and exciting read.
In Tantei Xeno to Nanatsu no Satsujin Misshitsu, the genius of murder is highlighted.
The mastermind behind the plan is clear-headed and calculating; the motive is pure and selfless; and the execution is flawless. ..
It was like getting a puzzle piece that made sense in the end.
13. Summertime Render
The protagonist’s supposed peaceful mourning for his deceased childhood friend turns into a time loop horror. ..
Despite how sweet the title might seem, it’s nothing but a scam.
This manga is filled with violence, gore, and suspense that is brushed under the rug. Then it is repeated again and again. ..
Summertime Render is a beautiful piece of art that is truly amazing.
Manga that have an obvious end point are often difficult to follow. ..
The story is told in a slow and methodical way, without feeling like it’s being dragged out. ..
12. Ore No Genjitsu Wa Ren’ai Game?? Ka To Omottara Inochigake No Game Datta
The series is about a group of teenagers who are trying to save their school from being closed down. ..
The player can control the protagonist’s every move, and the game is set in a world where choices have consequences. The player must decide how to proceed, and whether to fight or flee from enemies. ..
The protagonist, a rookie detective, gets tangled up with psychopath murderers in his first case. He must either solve the case or die. ..
The idea for the series is quite unique, but it may lack a bit of depth. Nonetheless, it’s an underappreciated piece worth checking out.
11. Caterpillar
I’ve always found insects creepy and crawly. ..
Despite their small size, these creatures are incredibly skilled at what they do. They can even be considered to have supernatural powers when compared to humans. ..
Caterpillar is a highly specialized assassin organization that specializes in killing high-ranking officials and members of the government. Their abilities make them perfect for carrying out assassinations at a distance, as well as tracking and assassination targets with precision.
The Caterpillar’s action scenes are top notch. Each chapter is packed with exciting action.
10. Apocalypse no Toride
This new zombie movie is different in many ways, including its setting and the way it treats its viewers. It’s a horror movie that takes place in the future, and it’s set in a world where the undead have taken over.
The zombies in this manga are brainwashed by the bokor, a creature that lives in the forest and eats human flesh. The zombies retain some level of intelligence, but they get stuck in a certain thought process.
The main group in this manga does not care about killing, as all of them are in prison. However, the main characters make few illogical decisions in their quest to save morality.
This manga makes me think that if a zombie apocalypse does occur, then the prisoners may actually last longer than the common folk. ..
9. Bambino
Cooking manga has been around for a while, even before Shokugeki no Souma hit the waves. It’s a genre that often features cooking scenes and is often about chefs and their recipes.
Despite the attention it has been receiving, Bambino has somehow managed to avoid the limelight it deserves.
Bambino follows the story of a high schooler who decides to become a professional chef after graduation. ..
Life is full of challenges and struggles. We all know that. But we also know that there are ways to overcome them. That’s why we need to keep pushing ourselves, to keep going when things seem tough. That’s why we need to be determined and persistent. That’s why we need to be positive and optimistic.
In Bambino, the author takes readers on a journey that is both harsh and relatable. The protagonist’s situation is difficult, but the author makes it easy for the reader to understand how it feels. This makes the book an interesting read, as it shows how difficult it can be to find a restaurant that is willing to take care of its customers.
8. Team Medical Dragon
In “Team Medical Dragon,” we follow the story of a genius doctor, as they delve deep into the medical department. With fascinating and heart-wrenching stories, this series will leave you wondering what could happen next. ..
Despite the complexity of medicine, this series is surprisingly easy to follow.
Despite the complexities of the techniques used, I can still understand what’s going on.
The Team Medical Dragon team is made up of strong and determined individuals who are always willing to help others. Their character development is one of the most important aspects of their ability to succeed.
The novel is full of growth for the protagonist, as almost all the characters have improved one way or the other by the end. This growth is evident in both their individual personalities and their relationships.
7. A-Bout!
This is a story about a young man who has been living on the streets for the past year, and his fight to get back on his feet. About a boy who is determined to make things right for himself and those he loves.
The protagonist of this series, who has no problem with using popular tropes, tries to prove that he is actually the series protagonist. ..
A-Bout! is a fighting game that also has a lot of other content.
The series is full of humor and surprises. It breaks common tropes and rides on other common tropes to create a unique experience. ..
6. Arachnid
Caterpillar published its first book, Arachnid, in 2009. However, it was not until Arachnid 2: The Second Book of Insects that Caterpillar released a sequel to its first book.
Being recruited to the same assassin organization as Caterpillar’s titular protagonist, Arachnid’s protagonist finds herself in a bloody mess.
Unlike Caterpillar, however, Arachnid requires more training to be effective.
She’s not even close to the level of the assassins, who are some of the best in the business.
Yet Arachnid’s potential is greater than Caterpillar, and she proves it by defeating a ton of professional assassins of every kind, including those who are better trained and equipped. ..
5. Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is a unique and innovative concept that deserves more recognition. It provides a safe haven for those who have been persecuted or have experienced violence. The Sanctuary is also an important step in the fight against human trafficking.
The friends, Hiroki and Ken, had always been interested in social change. But they never thought it would be possible to do it on their own. So they decided to team up and start a new organization called “The Japan Revolution.” They wanted to make a difference in the country and help people who were struggling. But their plan quickly went awry. The government didn’t take kindly to their ideas and started persecuting them. Hiroki and Ken were forced to leave Japan and start over again in exile. But they never lost their love for each other or their commitment to the revolution.
The government is a tool used by the underground to get what they want. The underground wants to control the country, and the government is a way for them to do that. They’ve seen through hell and are not afraid to take risks.
This manga presents a realistic view of ideologies that are close to my own. The actions, ideals, and events are so realistic that I’m not surprised if it’s actually happening in real life.
4. When Night Falls
When Night Falls is a dark and moody anime that feels like it could be from the Death Note series.
The protagonist seeks revenge for his sister’s murder by targeting the murderers who committed the crime. After a few years in juvenile prison, they have returned to society and must be watched closely. ..
Our MC is out for a headhunt after acquiring a supernatural ability to enter people’s dreams. He has been able to do this for years and is confident that he can find the person who did this to him.
However, the ending is a bit of a letdown.
Wataru is a detective who wants to give the murderers of his sister a taste of their own medicine.
Death Note and When Night Falls are two great manga that have a lot in common. Both have great stories and exhilarating mental battles.
3. Bartender
I believe that the combination of seinen and slice of life is a great way to enjoy a story.
The bartender is the one who proves that drinking is fun.
The manga follows the story of a genius bartender, who is constantly mixing and serving alcohol. ..
This series has taught me that bartending isn’t just about mixing drinks, it’s also about healing customers.
There is some truth to this. ..
It’s interesting to see how the manga relates cocktails to real life situations and problems. It even includes the recipe for the featured cocktails. What’s not to like?
2. Grand Blue
I absolutely love Grand Blue, it’s easily my favorite comedy manga. ..
I really enjoy this manga because it makes me laugh. ..
The punchline of this joke is that it’s not really a joke, it’s just really funny.
The manga is supposedly about a young girl who becomes a diving instructor. ..
Despite Grand Blue’s reservations, it’s clear that alcohol is a big part of the culture in this small town. In fact, there are more scenes about drinking alcohol and being stupid than about anything else. This is a good thing, because it shows that people in this town are interested in having fun and making friends.
1. Usogui
I’m curious why Usogui is not well-known. It’s an amazing symphony, and I find it puzzling that it’s not very well-known.
The protagonist is a gambler who bets his life on the outcome of events.
The organization in charge of ensuring that the bets are settled at the end of the match is powerful.
This series has action scenes that will leave you on the edge of your seat, and that’s not even the highlight of it.
The psychological and mental battles in this manga are insane, too. There are a lot of plot twists and foreshadowing, which proves how premeditated everything is. Just a pleasure cover to cover.
