Once you open the chest, you’ll unlock the ability, but you have to equip it in your “Abilities” menu to actually use it.
This ability is a new Shared Ability in the game that will be available when you equip it from your Abilities menu. This means that everyone in your party will be able to use it at the same time.
Getting High Jump (Mini-Guide)
High Jump is a chest that can be found in Monstro, right next to Geppetto’s ship.
You must progress further into the World’s story to open the chest.
If you explore Monstro thoroughly, you’ll eventually come across a room that starts a cutscene with Riku. In this cutscene, you’ll hear Pinocchio yell from deeper within the whale. ..
In this boss fight, you’ll find Pinocchio trapped inside a giant weird plant-looking Heartless – the Parasite Cage. The Parasite Cage is a large, circular room with several platforms in it. You’ll need to use your sword to cut through the vines that are surrounding the cage and then jump onto the platforms to free Pinocchio.
After defeating the beast, team up with Riku and dispel the beast’s presence. Then return to the mouth where you’ll get one more cutscene featuring Riku. Finally, open up the chest to unlock High Jump.
Make sure to equip yourself and reach heights unimaginable.
