Anime often writes characters who have experienced tragic events as children, which can lead to them having a hard time dealing with life. ..
- Yoko Shimomura, the creator of Death Note
- Nagisa Oshima, the author of InuYasha
- Yukari Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto
- Hideaki Anno, the creator of Gundam
In the days leading up to the presidential election, many people were wondering what would happen if one of the candidates lost. Would they change their tune? Would they continue to support their candidate? In some cases, it seems that these people may have been right. In other cases, it seems that the candidate who lost may have had something to do with their vote. Here are five examples of how a losing candidate could have influenced a voter’s decision:
- If a voter felt that their candidate was not doing enough to help them out, they may have switched allegiances. This could be due to either poor performance or simply not being satisfied with the incumbent. A losing candidate could make it easier for voters to switch allegiances and make sure that they are represented in government.
- If a voter felt like their candidate was not honest or trustworthy, they may have decided not to vote. This could be due to any number of reasons such as lying or being dishonest about what they plan to do in office. A losing candidate could make it harder for voters to trust government and make sure that everyone is represented fairly.
- If a voter felt like their candidate was too risky or too risky for them, they may have decided not to vote. This could be due either because of how risky the candidacy seemed or because of how much money/power/influence thecandidate had on society at large. A losing campaign can make it harder for voters to trust politicians and ensure that everyone is taken into account when making decisions.
18. Koro-Sensei
This is a flashback that made me cry the most because Koro-Sensei is such a goofy and lovable character.
Then we learn that he was discovered by a street performer who took him in and taught him how to perform. Finally, we learn that he has now become one of the most celebrated street performers in the world. ..
After being trained as an assassin, he became known for never showing any emotion or love. ..
He gains a student, only for that person to betray him and have him locked up. In confinement he gets tortured for a year and experimented on, only to learn that in a year’s time he’ll explode.
The main point of this article is that in prison, the man learns how to love, only to have that woman die in his arms.
If you can watch the entire flashback without shedding a tear, you’re as cold as ice. ..
17. Ray
Anime fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of “The Promised Neverland” for months. The film is based on the popular manga and tells the story of two boys who are transported to a fantastical world full of adventure. The film has already received rave reviews from critics and is expected to be a huge hit with anime fans. ..
That’s not always true. In some cases, ignorance can be a curse. For example, many people don’t know that climate change is happening. That’s a big problem. If you don’t know what’s happening, you can’t do anything about it.
Ray never got to experience that blissfulness. He was painfully aware of the wretched world around him his entire life. ..
The person asks how bad it can be to see the show.
Ray knew that his fate was the same as all of his friends - they would eventually be sold to aliens and eaten. He also knew that he was no different, and that age thirteen was the end of his journey.
The man knew that his mother was delivering his friends to the monsters, and it made him feel sick.
He was heavily tortured, but he didn’t have any injuries.
16. Naruto Uzumaki
If you’ve watched the show, you can already see the empty swing and hear the subtle violin.
Naruto was born with a curse that caused him to be hated and feared by everyone. But that wasn’t bad enough. ..
The boy was born with a beast inside of him that killed his parents. The entire village looked at him like a monster and completely ostracized him. ..
The man came to an empty home every day and lived on take-out.
It’s not that he was bad at ninja, it’s that he wasn’t very good at it.
15. Meliodas
Anime: The Seven Deadly Sins is a dark and suspenseful story about the dangers of sin. It follows the story of a young girl, who is forced to confront her sins and make a choice between them.
The Romeo and Juliet tragedy received a lighter punishment than Meliodas and Elizabeth, who were sentenced to death. ..
This is because these two people were cursed by gods.
The curse stated that Meliodas is immortal, and that Elizabeth will fall in love with Meliodas again and then die soon after she regains her memories of her past life. ..
Meliodas was left with a choice: watch his love die over and over again, or try to save her. He had no choice but to watch her die, and it was torture that lasted for centuries without an end in sight.
14. Johan Liebert
Johan is a real-life monster, and his torture and death are based in reality. However, even though he is a real-life monster, Johan can unfortunately hold his own on this list.
Johan’s sister Anna wasn’t much better off. But because of the way the story goes, I’m going to stick to Johan.
He was born as part of an experiment that led to his sister being separated from him.
Johan is then left alone, wandering a desert half-dead. He then gets saved by the two, only for him to go into another experimental facility where they orchestrate a massacre. He then runs some more, before he gets adopted and murders his new parents. He then gets shot by his sister. ..
This young family went through a lot in the days and weeks after the Pulse nightclub shooting.
13. Killua Zoldyck
Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011) is a popular anime that follows the story of a young boy named Gon and his friends, Hunter and Killua. The anime is full of action, adventure, and humor.
This is our second assassin on the list, and he wasn’t really better off. ..
Killua was born into a famous assassin family, and as such, he was taught to be ruthless and efficient. This made him a perfect candidate for the job of assassin, which he took up at the ripe age of 17. Killua has been killing people for the past few years, and his skills have earned him a name among the best in the business. He is loved by many because of his compassionate nature, but he is also hated by many because of his ruthlessness.
He was tortured in order to strengthen his body. And I really do mean continuously, the man doesn’t even flinch at getting whipped because he’s so used to it.
Killua is the perfect assassin because his brother programmed him to be one. He doesn’t have the luxury of free will, which makes him more dangerous and unpredictable.
The brother of the protagonist saw his sister get locked up in a dungeon probably not very fun either.
12. Hyakkimaru
Hyakkimaru, the only person in the world to have started life as a baby dragon, has had a difficult time from the start. ..
This is because his father sold him to the demons, and he was born as a pile of flesh with no pulse.
A decade or more passed before he could even start his journey to becoming human. He only survived because of the mercy of a few. ..
He’s a walking, talking corpse.
The man is a walking tragedy. He has been through so much pain and suffering, and it seems like nothing can ever make it better. ..
11. Lelouch Vi Britannia
Lelouch’s resolve to create a better country is understandable once you learn about the things he’s been through. ..
He experienced the assassination of his own mother and the crippling of his beloved sister.
Lelouch was not a baby at the time, and he was fully aware of what was happening.
He is abandoned by his father and becomes a refugee.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen such an intense and shocking event.
10. Shouto Todoroki
Anime: A young boy named Izuku Midoriya is a rising star in the Hero Academy. He’s a natural born leader, and his classmates and teachers alike are in awe of his skills. But one day, something goes wrong. Izuku’s hero power starts to fade, and he can’t seem to stop it from happening. He doesn’t know what to do…
Although this is an anime about superheroes, Shouto’s troubles are unfortunately very human.
It was just a case of severe, and I mean severe domestic violence.
He was isolated from his siblings and forced to train all day, even when his body was failing. His father never showed him any warmth. ..
The real kicker came from the fact that he knew his mother was abused as well.
Not only did Shouto’s mother terrorize and resent him throughout their relationship, but she also inflicted physical harm on him on multiple occasions. Endeavor wonders why this happened and whether it was a result of his father’s genes or his mother’s.
9. Vegeta
Dragon Ball Z is an anime series that follows the adventures of Goku, a young boy who is forced to fight in a battle against an evil empire. The series has been popular for over 20 years and has been featured in many movies and TV shows.
Vegeta’s backstory is brief, but I feel like people downplay how tragic it was.
Frieza’s planet was destroyed, or at least he thought so.
Vegeta was working for the same person that did all of this to him.
After learning of the existence of another Saiyan, Vegeta becomes very discouraged. He finds out that this other Saiyan is much more powerful than he is, and this makes him feel very inferior. ..
Vegeta was a complete and utter fraud when he started out as the Prince of all Saiyans. It’s really no surprise that it took him this long to become one of the good guys.
8. Lucy
Lucy went through a lot of pain and humiliation when she was picked on by her classmates. But no one appreciates being picked on. That’s why she deserves our respect.
A 12-year-old girl in a small town in America was the target of relentless bullying from her classmates. So she did what any other 12-year-old would do in that situation: she took her frustrations out on her dog. Unfortunately, the dog didn’t stand a chance against the bullies, and was killed in front of the girl. ..
She begins her rampage by losing all empathy for humans, and starts killing them indiscriminately.
She’s been captured and used as a lab rat, so her torture and pain keep popping up on this list.
The girl, who is only 14 years old, has been through an unimaginable ordeal. She was kidnapped and held captive for weeks by a group of men who raped her repeatedly. ..
7. Itachi Uchiha
Do you remember when we all thought Itachi was this super evil antagonist? How foolish we were.
- The president of the United States
- The prime minister of Canada
- The president of Mexico
- The prime minister of Peru
- The president of Chile
- The prime minister of Uruguay
- The president of Argentina
- The prime minister of Brazil
- The president of Colombia
- The prime minister of Costa Rica
Itachi is a young boy who experiences the horrors of war at a very young age. He then sees the death of his best friend and in order to maintain peace he has to murder his entire clan including his parents and the girl he loved.
The president needed a new strategy.
So Itachi’s only living relative hates him, and he comes down with a terminal illness but has to keep going on to protect the Hidden Leaf. ..
Few people can make the same level of sacrifices as this man. ..
6. Shinra Kusakabe
Shinra is a typical company: its dead family and bullied employees. ..
The writers took great pains to explore how these two plot points would play out.
The family of the dead man decided that he doesn’t actually have a father because his mother suffered to her dying breath and his brother was taken to a death cult. It’s fun, right?
Shinra had atick where he smiled when he was filled with strong emotions. So naturally, everyone thought he was a literal Satan spawn and avoided him constantly.
5. The Elric Brothers
Brotherhood is an anime series that follows the story of a group of young boys who are forced to fight in a war against an alien race. The boys are forced to use their own strength and skills to survive, and must use their teamwork and intelligence to defeat their enemies.
The first key moment was when John, the older brother, was killed in a car accident. The second key moment was when Michael, the younger brother, died in a hunting accident. The third key moment was when John’s wife and children were killed in a house fire.
Then, their mother starts to neglect them. This is when the children start to feel like they are not wanted. When the children reach their teenage years, they realize that their parents have never really loved them. They start to feel like they are failures and that no one will ever want them. ..
The family of four is faced with a difficult situation when their mother dies from a sickness. The children must cope with the loss and try to move on. ..
The family of a woman who has been in a coma for over two years tries to bring her back to life, but their efforts are unsuccessful. In addition, the family members suffer significant losses. One brother loses his entire body and is confined to a metal suit, while the other loses an arm and a leg. ..
After all that they went through, they managed to keep going.
4. Eri
The popular anime series, My Hero Academia, is a story about a young boy named Izuku Midoriya who dreams of becoming the greatest hero in the world. Despite being bullied and having no powers of his own, Izuku perseveres and becomes one of the most powerful heroes in the world. His story inspires others to pursue their dreams no matter what obstacles they face. ..
Eri is a young girl with a quirk that makes her able to see through illusions. This has led to her being used as a scapegoat by her family and friends, who believe she is responsible for their problems. Despite this, Eri is actually the one who is causing the most harm, as she is often unable to see what is happening in front of her and instead relies on her quirk to solve problems.
She accidentally makes her father disappear and then gets disowned by her mother. Her grandfather takes her in, but is quickly put into a coma by Overhaul.
And then Overhaul tortures her day and night, draining her blood and basically having her go through death and then reviving her just to do it all over again.
This left her with such strong trauma that it takes a while for Eri to even remember how to laugh, and blames everything bad on herself for quite some time.
3. Levi Ackerman
Anime: Attack on Titan is a powerful and exciting new anime series that is sure to keep you entertained for the entire season. This anime is full of action, adventure, and suspense, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
The Attack on Titan manga is dark and morbid, with characters that are often brutal and merciless. The series has been praised for its dark and violent themes, and it’s no wonder that the anime adaptation has been so popular.
Levi had a complicated and difficult backstory that made him seem like a victim.
Levi was born to a prostitute and never even met his father. His mother passed away and he nearly starved to death by her side.
His uncle comes to save him, but this leads him to a life of violence where he had to fight for survival. ..
The worst part of it all is that even when things got better, they weren’t all that great. I mean, he still had to fight giant human-eating monsters after all.
The man who saved him had to fight a powerful enemy.
2. Kakashi Hatake
Kakashi is one of the most tragic characters in Naruto. I felt sorry for him the most because he has to go through so much pain and suffering.
Kakashi’s father committed suicide and left Kakashi alone. This left Kakashi feeling lost and alone. ..
He goes into the ugly world of war and has one of his friends die in front of his eyes, and is made to kill his other comrade with his own hands.
The master’s death is a natural outcome of his illness.
In his later years, the ninja that he once knew as a child turns out to be a rogue and must fight him to the death.
He had a hard life, and it showed. He was always working, and never really enjoying himself. But despite all of his struggles, he managed to find a way to make it work.
1. Guts
If you only watched the anime then you might think that this is an okay pick. But if you read the manga then I’m sure you know that this is an essential pick. ..
This young man has experienced a lot in his short life, which makes him an interesting person to listen to. ..
Second, he was raised by a group of cannibalistic cannibals who would kill and eat his father and other family members. Third, he was taken in by a group of missionaries who tried to teach him about Christianity. Fourth, he became a professional killer, working for various gangs and cartels until he met the man who would change his life - the man who would give him the opportunity to start over.
He is saved by a woman who dies in front of his eyes a few years later. ..
Guts joins a mercenary group and looks up to its leader like a father. But woops, that leader sold Guts to another soldier for a shiny nickel, and Guts gets ahem touched, to clean it up for the censors.
This is just a small excerpt from what he went through, so I can confidently say that he’s the most tragic character to ever be written in all of anime.
