An anime adaptation of a popular series usually brings happiness to those who love the source material.
The show ends with a bang.
Fans of the anime were left scratching their heads after watching the latest episode. While it was an average episode, it ruined the story and characters for future episodes. ..
Hope is not a strategy. ..
With the success of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and the new Fruits Basket series, it’s clear that reboots can be a success. And that they can be incredibly exciting. ..
Anime that need a reboot: -Death Note -Naruto -One Piece -Bleach ..
15. Ranma ½
I really enjoyed this gender-bender. It had a great mix of comedy, romance, and martial arts.
The show at Studio Deen found something special here. Ranma ½ had an impressive 161 episodes.
There are a few reasons. First and foremost, the show has been on the air for over 20 years now, and it’s time for it to come to an end. Second, the show has been criticized for its lack of innovation and its reliance on recycled plot devices. Finally, there are a number of new actors and actresses who have emerged in recent years, and it would be unfair to keep them all in the dark about what was happening on the show. A reboot would give them all a chance to shine and help make sure that the show remains relevant for years to come.
An excellent show with a lot of potential that will likely last for a while. The anime has a large and diverse cast that is both fun and interesting. ..
The team behind a reboot of “The Simpsons” is set to decide whether or not to modernize some of the show’s tropes and personalities. However, it is unclear if they will stick to the classic style or improve the technical aspects.
I’m curious to see how Ranma ½ will be received by viewers today, given the cultural shifts that occurred nearly 30 years ago.
14. Monster Rancher
Do you remember when the global anime community was all about companion monsters?
You had a gaming system that included Pokémon, Digimon, and Monster Rancher.
Today, Pokémon and Monster Rancher continue to be popular games. While Monster Rancher is no longer as popular as it once was, Pokémon is still very much alive. ..
It’s sad, because I still remember playing an old Monster Rancher video game. Plus, the ED is one of my all-time favorites, evoking a bittersweet, nostalgic mood.
Monster Rancher is a great game for kids. There are interesting monsters in it.
The latest anime in the Digimon and Pokémon franchises, “Digimon Adventure tri.” has been met with mixed reviews from fans. However, with improved animation and fight sequences, it could once again be a contender for the top spot in the anime world. ..
13. ChaoS;HEAd
This anime is based off of the visual novel game Steins;Gate, created by Nitroplus. The same team that created Steins;Gate is responsible for this anime as well.
Released in 2008, the anime looks like it was made in that year.
The “Harry Potter” series feels outdated to many fans. ..
People who watched the series back then probably remember how it all crashed in both storytelling and character development—all in just 12 episodes.
The Chia Seed Heading was funny when it wasn’t supposed to be. And its execution couldn’t match its ambitions.
Hopefully, a new adaptation of the story can be done in a way that honors the original intent of the story. ..
12. Elfen Lied
I remember watching the first episode of Elfen Lied and feeling a deep connection to the story.
I found out that it was something else when I talked to my friend.
This series from 2004 starts with an easily one of the most graphic episodes in anime history. It showcases all the incredulous blood and gore — and the mysterious girl causing all the mayhem has no clothes on whatsoever.
The level of viciousness in the show decreases over time, but it gradually returns in more crazed episodes until the satisfying finale.
After reading the manga, I found that it was significantly different from the anime. This may have been because the manga was better written. ..
Fans of the Elfen Lied manga series would be disappointed if a reboot were to ignore the source material in favor of gratuitous fan service. ..
11. Ouran High School Host Club
The show has been praised for its unique and funny characters, as well as its clever writing. It has been a hit with viewers all over the world.
The best part of this story is that it’s true. ..
The female MC becomes a male host and is successful in doing so.
Overall, Ouran High School Host Club is a great shoujo and reverse harem anime. The animation and art are very good, and newer anime fans would not mind it.
Anime fans have been waiting for years for a complete adaptation of the manga series OHSCS. Now that the manga has ended, it’s the perfect time to give fans what they’ve been asking for. ..
10. Mahou Sensei Negima!
Negima arrived too early, just like Ouran High School Host Club.
In other words, the manga is still ongoing and there is still potential for a new adaptation.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the anime was lackluster.
The animation was choppy and uninspired. The pacing was slow and the music was forgettable. The delivery of comedy was poor and the character development was sparse. For a show supposed to be overflowing with fun and quirky characters, Negima could only introduce and focus on a meager fraction of them. ..
This anime was clearly rushed and feeling lost. Ken Akamatsu crafted an arguably impressive universe here, and his manga should get a better anime reboot.
9. Claymore
The Claymore animators at Madhouse are responsible for the 2007 movie Claymore, which is unsurprisingly gorgeous and well-animated. This is likely due to their expertise in creating violent, supernatural scenes.
But what makes Claymore stand out from the rest is its unique take on the martial arts genre.
With 26 episodes, “The Walking Dead” is longer than the usual 12-episode shows that barely scratch the original story or skip entire arcs to get to the ending.
Claymore had anime-only content at the end.
A new adaptation of the manga could not only stick to the manga’s 159 chapters, but also add more episodes.
Hunter x Hunter was a success, with nearly 150 episodes aired. I’m sure the fans there have them in them to do another mega-sized shounen.
8. Classroom of the Elite
I thought the premise was interesting and the animation was good. However, I found the characters to be very one-dimensional and the plot to be uninteresting.
Fans of the light novel series “Danganronpa” were eagerly awaiting the release of the anime adaptation, claiming that Kiyotaka Ayanokouji, one of the year’s favorite new characters, would finally be showcased in all of his god-tier prowess. ..
EP 12 left many viewers disappointed, with some saying it was the worst episode of the series. ..
Some readers of the light novel complained that the significance of Honami Ichinose in the original story was not present in the adaptation. There were discussions about Japanese fans being mad at the decision to have Suzune Horikita be the heroine. ..
Many people don’t want a second season because the first one messed up the story a lot.
7. Pandora Hearts
The manga series, Pandora Hearts, is one of the most popular and beloved manga series in the world. The story follows the adventures of a group of young people who are forced to join forces to stop a powerful villain from destroying their world. ..
But then, on December 12th, 2014, the author abruptly stopped updating his website and social media accounts. Fans of the series are left wondering what happened to their beloved protagonist. ..
I first discovered Pandora Hearts through the anime, and I absolutely loved it. However, I felt like there was more to the story that I hadn’t seen yet. ..
The manga left me wanting more, and I’m looking forward to the next volume.
This is a high-quality shounen series, and it deserves a complete adaptation. That will make old fans happy while also making more people interested in this work of wonder. ..
6. Soul Eater
Soul Eater had a great run from 2008 to 2009. The anime was well-made, the characters were likable, and the story was engaging.
Studio Bones animated the 51 episodes of “Death the Kid.” The anime was relatively popular among the general anime community, with Death the Kid even a familiar sight on forums and anime stores. ..
After the manga’s conclusion, it may be a good idea for Bones to resume work on Soul Eater. ..
They did a great job covering the first parts of the Arachne Gorgon trial and the enrollment arc with Arachne Gorgon. They can just rush them in the reboot.
What matters is that Soul Eater be adapted to completion and have excellent fight sequences.
5. Baccano!
I absolutely love Baccano, one of my favorite anime series ever. It’s a great story with interesting characters and is always exciting to watch.
This is a surprise given how much I loved Durarara, also made by Ryohgo Narita. He has a knack for writing eccentric characters and devising social dynamics in urban settings.
The adaptation of the novel felt perfect in its own right. ..
The adaptation of Soul Eater and FMA: Brotherhood needs to speed up the parts it previously covered because those were already animated phenomenally.
The anime was already a wild mystery ride with just 13 episodes. Imagine how awesome it would be to have all light novels adapted into one long, epic story.
4. Angel Beats!
Jun Maeda is often criticized for his most recent projects, like Charlotte and The Day I Became a God, but he was highly acclaimed when Angel Beats was released. ..
This anime was so popular that it spawned a sequel, which was even more popular.
I was also heartbroken at the end (and perhaps shed a tear or two), but it wasn’t all sad. ..
The anime had an amazing cast of supporting characters from the likes of Ayato Naomi and Masami Iwasawa, to the TK who only kept saying English phrases.
If Angel Beats could have 24 or 26 episodes, I’m sure the arcs and personal stories would feel more authentic and emotional.
The app can give people a backstory for people who didn’t get one in the first place.
Anime is already great and popular. But it could be even greater with more development. ..
3. Tokyo Ghoul
Do you know what makes Sui Ishida’s latest work so unique? It’s a dark, action-horror series that spans 144 chapters and an additional 181 chapters in the Tokyo Ghoul:re sequel.
Tokyo Ghoul could have been as popular as Black Clover and Dr. Stone, without looking anything like those two shounen titles. ..
Studio Pierrot didn’t push the boundaries. They were a creative force that helped to define the art form of contemporary dance.
The first season was good. It had one of the best opening theme songs of the 2010s. Then Tokyo Ghoul Root A happened. Once again, the music was impressive, but everything else was questionable. ..
Two seasons of Tokyo Ghoul:re aired and neither was worth the attention of manga or anime fans. The potential was huge, but it all fell short. ..
2. Berserk
Fans of Attack on Titan have been eagerly awaiting a proper adaptation of the manga series for years, but it seems like their wait will continue. The series has been critically acclaimed and has even won awards, so it’s disappointing that there hasn’t been a proper adaptation yet. ..
A novel that is both grueling and morally complex, with storytelling ambition that fully captures its horror. ..
Miura’s manga series, which started in 1989, has yet to be concluded. ..
This doesn’t mean that no studio should try to adapt Berserk, as it could be a great way to bring the manga and anime series to new heights.
The 1997 adaptation of OLM’s work is arguably great, but the animation is severely outdated now. ..
The movie trilogy by Studio 4°C was noteworthy, especially The Advent in 2013. However, it could be refined.
There was a new Berserk anime announced in February, and it looks like it will be a return to form. ..
The anime community has yet to witness a Berserk adaptation that is as faithful to the manga as possible.
Epic-yet-dark titles like Game of Thrones and Attack on Titan have helped to bring attention to the potential for a global phenomenon called “epic-yet-dark literature.” This genre is made up of stories that are dark and full of action, but also have a large emotional impact.
Berserk’s manga has at least 360 chapters now, and the content is there.
An anime staff composed of the best individuals in the industry, with a lot of money and a long-term outlook would be perfect for creating high-quality anime.
1. His and Her Circumstances
This shoujo is the best.
The show has been cancelled by its network, and no one knows why.
Kare Kano is a popular series that many people feel deserves a reboot. I believe that this series should be given a new start, as it is one of the most popular and well-known in the industry.
This is a statement that can be seen as both sad and frustrating. Sad because the idea of watching a new anime adaptation is something that many people enjoy, and frustrated because it seems like it will never happen.
This series is a love story, comedy, drama, and slice-of-life series set in the future. It was directed by Hideaki Anno, one of the founders of the legendary Studio Gainax and (most importantly) the creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Anno is now working on a new anime series, which is set to air in 2020. It’s an ambitious project, and it’s sure to be a big hit. Fans of the original Kare Kano series will be excited to see what Anno has in store.
The manga author Masami Tsuda didn’t like how Gainax handled her story. She felt that the romantic and dramatic parts weren’t highlighted as much as the comedy.
And Kare Kano had obvious production issues: The film had obvious production issues, including problems with the sound and video quality.
The show had a few recap episodes despite only having 26 episodes. Worse, it lacked enough money in the end and the staff was forced to use static visuals and even simple puppets for the last episodes. Worst of all, the final episode didn’t end anything, not even the current arc.
The creative differences between Tsuda and Anno destroyed the possibility of more Kare Kano by Gainax. Tsuda’s unique vision for the anime was not compatible with the more traditional, story-driven approach that Gainax was known for. This resulted in a lack of cohesion and a lack of innovation, which ultimately led to the series’ downfall.
Kare Kano, a shoujo classic and a great anime of the 1990s, is still considered a great anime.
The manga is finished, but that doesn’t mean a complete reboot is necessary.
The protagonist, a young woman with mental illness, is in for a difficult journey as she tries to find her place in the world. Her struggles are compounded by the fact that her family is not supportive of her condition. The story deals with themes of self-doubt and isolation, and how these can lead to great psychological damage.
Many readers would rather just read the manga for the ending, as they want to enjoy the Gainax anime for its romance, comedy, and artistic flair. ..
With all this information out there, I don’t think I’ll ever see a reboot of His and Her Circumstances.
If Studio Gainax and its directors, Hideaki Anno and Tsuda Yoshihiro, could have worked together in 1998, the resulting adaptation would have been a masterpiece. ..
